Choix Photos

Choix update: School was closed today and will be closed tomorrow. Ione has helped our families to prepare for the coming rains and now they all just await what the news tell us will be an onslaught. We have done what we can to make sure that our staff, the school and all of our students' records are safe and secure, now they just wait. Here is a photo from Ione, from this morning in Mirebalais.
Might be a stretch but . . . any EYE DOCS out there interested in bringing a team to Haiti (yes, volunteers, pay your own way) to give exams and glasses to our students at Choix? They really could use your help. Talk about changing the world - You would be helping us to create access to quality education in such an extraordinary way. . . . . Ideas?? I would ask for DENTISTS, too, but your equipment is a bit heavier and more invasive ;o)
Many of our students would not be able to attend Choix if they had to cover the costs of their uniforms. Instead, we require they cover their basic tuition, maintain their academic performance and that their parents participate in their education, as well. As a result of the generosity of the exceptional Soles4Souls, Inc., which contributes our uniform bottoms, we are able to provide uniforms to our students, and we could not be more grateful. Thank you to Soles4Souls, Inc., Tiffany Johnson and Buddy Teaster!!
