They were jumping and dancing with excitement when they learned that the duffels three of us just brought to Haiti contained NEW uniforms contributed by Soles4Souls, Inc., along with school and medical supplies! So proud!! From Dr. C: "Today we are training a team to administer the EGRA, a standardized reading assessment in both Creole and French. Tomorrow we begin testing, gathering baseline data on all of our 180 students, from which we will be able to measure their growth over time! We are extremely proud of our assessment program! This test is just one of many standardized tests that we administer."

Thank you, World Vision - Haiti, for these exceptional "promise packs," which also include really cool head lamps, so we can do homework after dark and walk *safely* outside! Working together to educate tomorrow's leaders in Haiti.

We honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this weekend and appreciate the lessons we can learn from him.

Today we celebrate International Girl's Day at Choix, #IDG2012. The day began with the girls at the front of the class lines in assembly, and the girls led the national anthem. Our fourth grade teacher Leonard delivered a presentation about girls and education.
