DePaul’s French Program Offers “de l’Aide”

DePaul University’s French Program, directed by our wonderful FoC (friend of Choix), Mme. Professor Pascale-Anne Brault, has completed what turned out to be a herculean task.  Prof. Brault and students in her translation program generously and MadameBrault5kindly translated 5 volumes of the elementary level Haitian National Curriculum from French into English!

On the basis of this epic undertaking, faculty and staff at Choix, as well as those who contribute to our work, *and* others throughout Haiti and elsewhere who might find this translation useful in their own work now have access to these volumes.

Not only did Prof. Brault and her students ensure through review and re-edit after re-edit that the translation had been proofread a number of times, but the translation itself was the subject of critical analysis with regard to particular phrasing or language questions.

I know that we, at Choix, are enormously grateful to Mme. Prof. Brault and to all of the students in DePaul University’s French Program who participated in this valuable effort.  If anyone would like copies of the translation(s), please contact Choix using our contact form.  While we offer a non-exclusive license to use the French Program’s work, we do request that you offer appropriate credit.
