Dr. Mary sends a photograph today and explains that students are planting the national tree of Haiti as part of a lesson about the items depicted on the flag, all in honor of Flag Day this past Friday.
Our teacher Leonard writes in response:
“The students were so happy doing that. Also, this morning they learned about the Haitian national tree as a symbol of power and freedom. This tree is in every Haitian official paper, as it is in our Flag. Today, it is right in the Ecole de Choix schoolyard as a symbol of excellence and human dignity. Thank you,Dr Clisbee, Blondel and Michel-Ange to help us to find a good place for them in the school yard.”
